Beckley Elementary is celebrating Read Across America next week.
2nd-5th grade students were able to see some amazing animals today! Barn Hill Preserve visited and brought some awesome animal friends!
Our students are invited to participate in 12 Days of Giving. Each student should have brought home a form explaining this. Dress-up days are coordinated with ways they can help their community and teachers. Participation is not required, but we anticipate students will enjoy dressing up and helping others! Easy and inexpensive dress-up accessories can be found at most Dollar Stores. Events begin this Tuesday, December 6th.
We had another successful pop-up market! A big thank you to the Mountaineer Food Bank, WVU Extension Office and Beckley Area Foundation.

Trunk-or-Treat!
Students may wear Halloween costumes on Monday, October 31st. Costumes must follow the dress code. No masks or face paint is allowed. Violent costumes and props are not allowed. All costumes must be an appropriate length. Please have students wear appropriate shoes as Trunk-or-Treat will take place outside. We hope to have a fun and exciting day with our students! 🎃
If your student is missing a coat or sweatshirt, remind them to check the blue bench beside the library. We have stacked several misplaced jackets and sweatshirts here. Thank you!
Don’t forget school pictures are tomorrow. You will receive a proof to review. Sport pictures are also tomorrow. Athletes should bring their uniforms to school. Pictures begin at 8:45 and will be finished before lunch. It is important to be on time.
Also…we have a very limited number of school shirts left for purchase. You can call the school to see if we have your size. We will not be ordering any other shirts at this time.
